C’est une thérapie manuelle qui consiste à prévenir, diagnostiquer et traiter les restrictions de mobilité des tissus du corps susceptibles d’en altérer l’état de santé, et ce dans une prise en charge globale du patient (approche dite « Holistique », voir article en référence).

  • Principes

Dans le concept ostéopathique, la santé représente la parfaite adaptation de l’organisme à son environnement. Son état dépendrait de 5 principes, décrit ci-après :

Ø La notion de Globalité : Toutes les parties du corps sont reliées entre elles par les tissus qui le composent ; on parle d’unité fonctionnelle.

Ø L’interaction Structure/Fonction : Pour l’ostéopathe, les structures du corps et les fonctions qu’elles doivent remplir sont interdépendantes. Dès qu’une structure qui compose le corps humain commence à perdre de la mobilité, la fonction qu’elle est sensée remplir pleinement est perturbée, diminuée, entraînant un trouble fonctionnel.

Ø La capacité d’Autoguérision (l’homéostasie) : L’homéostasie est décrit comme « l’équilibre dynamique qui nous maintien en vie ». Pour que ces processus physiologiques de guérison du corps soient efficaces il faut que nos cellules reçoivent tous les éléments dont elles ont besoin pour remplir parfaitement leurs fonctions.

Ø La règle de l’artère est suprême : Les cellules doivent pouvoir se régénérer et se débarrasser de leurs déchets. Pour cela il faut que le sang, la lymphe, en un mot tous les liquides du corps, circulent librement. Cela dépend du dernier principe,

Ø La vie, c’est le mouvement : En effet, c’est le mouvement qui facilite l’acheminement des liquides dans les tissus, favorisant par la même le renouvellement du milieu dans lequel baignent nos cellules.

  • Jargon Ostéopathique 

Ø La Dysfonction Somatique :

C’est une réaction mécanique et physiologique d’une structure du corps en réponse à une contrainte ou une agression. Elle s’accompagne d’une restriction de la mobilité de la structure concernée. Par le lien des corrélations tissulaires, cette restriction de mobilité retentira à distance sur une ou plusieurs structures.

​Ø Le phénomène d’adaptation/compensation :​

En réaction à ce facteur contraignant, le corps organise une réponse qui lui permet de s’adapter à ce nouvel événement. Il essaie de la compenser grâce à diverses stratégies : rééquilibration de sa structure et/ou modification de ses fonctions. Les adaptations du corps débutent en recrutant les muscles. Puis le corps va répartir le travail sur plusieurs régions. Lorsque ces mécanismes sont insuffisants, le corps décompense peu à peu, créant un trouble fonctionnel persistant.

Ø Le trouble fonctionnel :​

C’est un dysfonctionnement de l’organisme. L’ostéopathie permet de réduire les méfaits des troubles fonctionnels, soit en supprimant leur cause, soit en réduisant leur impact dans le temps. C’est en cela que l’action de l’ostéopathe est à la fois curative et préventive.

Indications/Contre-indications

Indications : Le champ d’application de l’ostéopathie s’étend à d’autres troubles fonctionnels qu’une douleur :

Ø De l’appareil locomoteur : cervicalgies, torticolis, dorsalgies, douleurs intercostales, lumbago, névralgies, entorses, accidents de la route (conséquences des coups du lapin), tendinites.

Ø Du système digestif : gastralgie, reflux gastro-oesophagien, dyspepsies, régurgitations, nausées, troubles du transit.

Ø Du système génito-urinaire : dysménorrhées fonctionnelles, syndrome pré-menstruel, stérilité idiopathique, cystite chronique.

Ø De la sphère ORL : préventions des sinusites et otites répétitives, vertiges fonctionnels, migraines, céphalées, acouphènes.

Ø Les manifestations rencontrées par le bébé après la naissance : troubles du sommeil, agitation, régurgitations, coliques, plagiocéphalies,…

Ø En accompagnement de : la grossesse et du post-partum ; des suites d’intervention chirurgicale notamment en cas de thoracotomie et laparotomie ; des traitements orthodontiques ; des traitements des pathologies orthopédiques de l’enfance et de l’adolescence (pied bot, torticolis congénital, scoliose, cyphose…).

Contre-indications : En raison d’une fragilité locale : AVC, hémorragie/hémophilie, cholécystite/appendicite aigue/péritonite, processus néoplasique, glaucome aigu, fractures/luxations.

  • Mon Approche Thérapeutique

Ma pratique repose sur :

L’écoute silencieuse propre aux modèles fluidique, tissulaire et biodynamique des Ostéopathes, présente dès le début de mes études et qui s’est amplifiée grâce au Senti (réceptivité, écoute intuitive) pour une meilleure lecture concernant les 3 corps qui constituent chaque être vivant (physique, émotionnel, mental), également appelés corps « subtils ».                                                  Le respect des besoins profonds du patient, qu’il soit humain ou animal pour recouvrer sa Vitalité.

Les techniques utilisées sont non invasives ni coercitives (sous contraintes).                                                                                          Elles prennent en considération la part émotionnelle de l’individu, consciente ou refoulée (Libération Somato Emotionnelle, Upledger; Noeuds Emotionnels et principes daoïstes).                                                                                                                            Elles permettent l’éveil puis l’activation des forces d’autoguérison propres à chacun (Potentiel Inhérent dont parle Becker, Ostéopathe). 

Une pratique moins structurelle (force extérieure, YANG) donne plus d’espace à la conscience du patient sur son propre fonctionnement : physique (proprioception, schéma corporel, locomotion, posture,…) mais aussi psycho-émotionnel (prise en compte des émotions, gestion du stress, de la douleur, de l’environnement psycho-affectif,…). Le praticien étant visiblement moins actif, c’est l’inconscient du patient qui prend le relais et s’active.

Cette approche plus YIN, féminine, propice à une sincère introspection est particulièrement adaptée aux animaux, enfants, nourrissons, à celles et ceux qui se fient et se confient plus facilement dans un échange non-verbal respectueux et une présence thérapeutique bienveillante.

C’est par l’acte thérapeutique ciblé et spécifique à la problématique présente que la qualité YANG/agissante transparaît, pour un soin équilibré Yin/Yang et cohérent avec les valeurs du Dao (Voie du Milieu, de l’équilibre).
